The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) is allowing an open enrollment period for Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) from May 1st through 26th, 2023. Beavercreek Chamber of Commerce is proud to partner with Spooner Medical Administrators as their preferred MCO. Don’t miss out on your opportunity to select a proven partner like Spooner MAI that meets the needs of your local business. It's incredibly easy, and it's also free.
What is an MCO? An MCO medically manages any claims filed against a company's workers’ compensation policy. MCOs are paid by Ohio BWC with a portion of employer-paid premiums. Every Ohio BWC policy must have one assigned. If you don't recall choosing one, chances are - one was randomly selected for you by BWC.
Selecting the right MCO will be one of the most cost-effective decisions that employers can make this year.
